10 Hr OSHA COURSE

Trains entry level workers on the recognition and avoidance
of hazards within their workplace. Topics include: Hazard Communication, Fall
Protection, Electrocution, Caught-in-Between, Struck By, PPE, Excavations,
Stairs and Ladders. The class can be tailored to the contractor. 




HEARTSAVER FIRST AID/CPR/AED

Students will learn the skills of first aid, medical, injury
and environmental emergencies. Students will be trained in (CPR) cardiac
pulmonary resuscitation and the use of an (AED) automatic external
defibrillator. 



 

ALL TERRAIN OR INDUSTRIAL FORKLIFT

Trainees will learn the basics of forklift operation and will the course discuss inspections, picking, traveling and placing loads, parking forklifts and maintenance and modifications.

BOOM/SCISSORS LIFT

This is a 2-hour operator-training course that will certify your scissor and aerial lift operators.  This program is intended for all operators of scissor or aerial lifts.  It is generic in nature and is supplemented with manufactures “Operating and Safety Handbook” and video. This is the training portion only which is but one part of an employer’s program to designate a “competent person” that is required by OSHA of the employer.

ARC FLASH

This course will help employees understand the electrical hazards in their workplace. The course will discuss the regulations of NFPA 70e and teach how employers and employees can protect themselves when working around electricity. The course has been approved by the Iowa Electrical
Examining Board for 4 hours of “other” Continuing Education Hours (CEH).



 

 

FALL PROTECTION SAFETY COURSE

Fall protection applications are reviewed and interpreted to maintain compliance and a safe working environment on the jobsite. This is the training portion only which is but one part of an employer’s program to designate a “competent person” that is required by OSHA of the employer.


SCAFFOLD SAFETY COURSE

Scaffold applications are reviewed and interpreted to maintain compliance and a safe working environment on the jobsite.  This course is a foundation to the selection and designation of a competent person in this application. This is the training portion only which is but one part of an employer’s program to designate a “competent person” that is required by OSHA of the employer.


CONFINED SPACE AWARENESS

This course is designed to help employees determine the difference between a confined space that is safe to enter and a permit required confined space. Topics cover include: hazards of confined spaces, locations of confined spaces and proper PPE. Duties of attendant and
entrants are discussed but this training does not meet the requirements of
entrant or attendant training.

ARC FLASH SAFETY COURSE

The annual requirement to ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, and the safe operational posture when working on or near potentially live electrical systems, is essential for any company. This course provides the safe practices and is one of three activities required to meet the regulatory requirement. Be prepared and send the responsible individual for training to stay current. Certification is valid for 3 years. Equivalent to 3 non-code CEU’s NE. This is the training portion only which is but one part of an employer’s program to designate a “competent person” that is required by OSHA of the employer.


MECHANICAL CEH SAFETY COURSES

Several classes are approved for either 2 or 4 hours of Continuing Education Hours through the Iowa Plumbing and Mechanical Systems Board.

ABC of Iowa will perform the OSHA Compliance Audits
These audits can alert you to oversights & shortcomings that OSHA would have cited. OSHA regulations that are applicable to your workplace are identified. 

After the audit, your company will be given a checklist of potential problems and specific guidelines for meeting OSHA compliance needs.

ABC of Iowa Will Provide Safety Training Classes & Seminars

Your company will be provided with OSHA compliance specific programs to meet your company needs. 

Update Your Policies & Procedures

Be sure that your policies & procedures comply with federal, state and local health and safety regulations. 

Safety Meetings
