This award is presented to the ABC of Iowa member who through his or her performance, has achieved significant accomplishments for the construction industry, merit shop philosophy and ABC of Iowa.
Individuals may be self-nominated or nominated by another ABC of Iowa member.
Nominations must be mailed to the ABC of Iowa office by September 11, 2009.
This award is attributed to Larry Meisner, Meisner Electric, Inc., ABC of Iowa's Founder and first chapter president.

The intent of this award is to recognize the men and women, who through the quality of work they do, shape the image and reputation of the entire construction industry. This award is presented to the individual who best embodies the ideals of a merit shop craft professional through superior efforts and applied talents as recognized by others.
ELIGIBILITY:
- The craft professional must be employed by a member of ABC of Iowa.
- The craft professional may only be nominated by an ABC of Iowa member company, but the nominating company does not have to be the nominee's employer.
- The craft professional receiving the award will not be eligible for three years after receivingthe award.
- A nominee must have been employed in the craft for a period of at least three years.
The Bill Yeager Craft Professional of the Year Award was created by the ABC of Iowa Board of Directors in 2001 as a tribute to Bill Yeager, a founding member of ABC of Iowa. Bill's longtime involvement with ABC of Iowa was not soley about protecting the merit shop philosophy. Bill's motivation for advancing the cause of merit shop contractors was to provide an opportunity for young people to come into the construction trades, have the opportunity to learn the profession, and to become the very best craft professional that they could be.
